World of Opportunity: $ 100 for 100 new campaigns a massive success!

For 24 hours starting yesterday at noon, EWB Board Member and President of Wardrop Engineering Shayne Smith donated $ 100 to the first 100 new World of Opportunity campaigns! The response was amazing – almost 100 individuals set up their campaign pages in the first hour alone!

Each new campaigner is a critical part of our ability to reach the World of Opportunity goal of $ 500,000 this holiday season. Achieving our goal will help EWB double the number of overseas volunteers in the coming months, and ensure that we can vastly improve rural infrastructure, access to clean water, and farmer’s yields in throughout the coming year.

We have big ambitions to tackle these challenges in 2010 – and the World of Opportunity is a big part of our ability to make this happen.

In true form, EWBers rallied together to put forth and amazing response to the World of Opportunity $ 100 for 100 campaigns – in just a few hours! Now, with the help of EWBers’ friends and family, we can reach our goal of raising $ 500,000 and unleash the entrepreneurial potential of rural Africans on a widespread scale.

To help make this happen, we have put together some useful Tips and Resources to help you promote your campaign page. With everything from holiday E-cards to Twitter and Facebook messages, we have equipped campaigners with all the tools necessary to running effective and impactful campaigns.
