Over 500 supporters of EWB sent messages to our overseas volunteers in 1 day!

18 December, 2009 @ 16:30

On Wednesday we asked EWBers to send a holiday message to our almost 40 volunteers working overseas in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Malawi and Zambia. We wanted to let each one of our volunteers know just how much we all appreciate their hard work, especially during the holiday season.

The response has been moving – over 500 people came together and sent heartfelt messages of encouragement, hope, and respect. And they are still pouring in!

Our volunteers work so hard to create opportunities for rural Africans to lead more prosperous lives. They are helping them to earn an income from their farms, access education and roads or have clean water for cooking. In 2010 we are only hoping to increase this impact – by doubling the number of our volunteers overseas.

Our overseas volunteers can create even more lasting change in 2010, and together EWBers are working hard to let them know just how much we value their great work.
