EWBers bring Burkina Faso to Montreal during Nuit Blanche
25 February, 2010 @ 10:21
It is not every day that you can be in Montreal, and explore village life in Burkina Faso.
Well, EWBers from the Ecole Polytechnique, Concordia University and McGill University chapters, along with the Montreal City Network, are helping Montrealers do just that. On Saturday February 27th, they will be setting up a typical African village to showcase the culture of Burkina Faso during Montreal’s 7th annual Nuit Blanche festival.

Right in the middle of the all-night Montreal festival, EWBers will set up an African village the size of a dance studio to immerse passers-by in the warm and lively atmosphere of a Burkinabese village.
For weeks, EWBers have been working to create the authentic Burkina Faso experience. Montrealers will be able to taste some traditional tô, drink zoom-koom, dance to the beats of the djembe, listen to traditional mooré stories and admire Burkinabese art.
What a unique – and inexpensive – way for Canadians to connect with the vibrancy of Burkina Faso’s culture and people!
The métro will be open all night during Nuit Blanche, so if you are in Montreal this weekend visit the EWB Burkina Faso village located in Suite 127 at 372 Sainte-Catherine Street West open from 8 pm – 3 am.
