World of Opportunity: Resources to help you reach your campaign goals!
Since EWB launched the World of Opportunity campaign just over a week ago, we have seen over 175 EWBers select one of our priority areas and commit to reaching their fundraising goal. There has been exciting progress so far - together we raised $ 20,000 in just the first few days of the campaign! Yet, this is just the beginning.
From now until the end of 2009, we aspire to raise $ 500,000 to scale up EWB’s work across West and Southern Africa in the coming year. These additional resources will ensure that EWB can unleash the innovative and entrepreneurial potential of rural Africans on a widespread scale.
For rice processors in Tamale, Ghana this means increased market opportunity and a stable income. In, Salima, Malawi this means area mechanics like Edward Kabzera can ensure that clean flowing water exists in even the most remote communities.
To help make our aspirations a reality, we are working to provide the necessary resources to make running a World of Opportunity campaign as easy as possible! We have launched a Resources section devoted specifically to helping you reach your campaign goals throughout the coming weeks.
Check out theses resources at: http://ewb.ca/opportunity/tips.php?lang=en
Here, you can find tools such as sample emails to your boss and colleagues, Tweets, Facebook messages, videos and tips to run successful campaigns from other campaigners. We will continue updating the Resources section with new trends and tips so that you can reach your goals in the coming weeks.
With your successful World of Opportunity campaign, you are giving rural Africans the chance to build a better future.
