Encourage your students to get outside their world!
Building on Engineers Without Borders' award-winning School Outreach program, Engineers Without Borders and Mountain Equipment Coop are proud to announce a national contest in which students, grades 6 - 12, are challenged to consider the world as they want it to be. We are inviting you to share this challenge with your students, encouraging them to find a creative way to depict this vision in answering the question "What kind of world do you want to live in and what will it take to get there?"
The contest links to curricula across the country, including Grade 8 Self and Society in British Columbia, Grade 10 Communications Technologies in Ontario, the Québec Secondary V program The 20th Century: History and Civilizations in Quebec. Our aim is to get youth excited about global issues, while helping them learn about their role in making the world a better place.
Here's how to get your students involved:
- We encourage you to incorporate the contest into class assignments and organize your whole class to enter.
- Please post the attached poster somewhere they can see it to get your students excited and planning their entries.
