Follow-up Activities

1. Organise a tour of the school's water system with the school superintendent. Follow-up the tour by asking students where water can be conserved within the school.

2. Visit the local water treatment plant. If this is not possible, ask a representative from the water utility to visit the class.
3. Organise a Water Challenge. Get your students to complete a log of their family's water consumption. Challenge the class to reduce their household water use, and offer prizes for the most water saved per student or class.

Get Outside Your World Contest

Each year, EWB asks students from across Canada to share their vision of a better world.

This year, Engineers Without Borders and Mountain Equipment Coop are proud to present the Get Outside Your World Contest in which students are asked to answer the question "what kind of world do you want to live in and what will it take to get there? in a variety of creative entries.
