Learning Objectives

Students gain a/increase their understanding of:

  • The universal need for access to clean safe drinking water
  • Water use, quality and access in Canada and in developing countries
  • The role of youth in addressing water as a global issue

Science and technology students will gain an understanding of:

  • The importance of technology in addressing social issues and basic needs
  • Engineering as a potential career

Social science students will learn about:

  • The challenges faced by developing communities
  • The relative availability of resources in different countries
  • International cooperation
