Jenn Dysart in Zambia

My name is Jenn Dysart and I am a recent graduate from the Chemical Engineering Program at the University of New Brunswick. I was previously involved in EWB as the co-Founder and co-President, along with Michael Gallant, of the UNB chapter. It was a fabulous experience that challenged me to question everything I had learned about development and inspired me to work overseas.

Working in Zambia's southern region where water sources are few and far between, I see the urgent need for safe water and sanitation facilities every day. My work with WaterAid is focused on improving access to sanitation facilities and extending hygiene education throughout rural communities—a combination which can lead to dramatic improvements in health.
