African Programs
In West and Southern Africa, Engineers Without Borders is improving access to clean water and critical infrastructure, increasing farmers’ yields, and supporting business opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.
In doing so, our volunteers live and work amongst the rural communities they aspire to impact – taking the time to learn local languages and culture. Because of this, EWB’s volunteers are able to identify the root causes of poverty, develop innovative solutions and focus our projects where they are needed most.
Working in partnership with local organizations, our African projects are fostering long-term leadership in rural communities - extending EWB’s impact long after a volunteer’s departure.
